There are different options available if you are considering archery for your school.

You can enter at different levels and we are happy to offer advice.

Archery is a great sport for youngsters.

It is suitable for all ages and levels of physical and sporting ability.  It is a sport which helps develop concentration and co-ordination, and gives a real sense of achievement.  

Research is taking place in the States.

“results of a 2004 study by Responsive Management of Harrisonburg, Va., … indicated that students who participated in NASP [National Archery in the Schools Program] in their physical education classes liked school better. Results also showed improvements in behavior and attendance at school by participants.”

Archery provides instant gratification and young people soon pick up the basic techniques and then learn that repetition and focus will help them improve.

There is great satisfaction in seeing your arrows hit the centre of the gold.

Even the most unsporty of children and adolescents enjoy taking part in archery.

That makes it ideal for schools looking to increase sports participation amongst those groups who normally refuse to participate - such as teenage girls and those who have weight issues; and also for youth groups wanting an activity which even the most unruly and disaffected youngsters will take to.
